Cefdoxim (Cefpodoxime) is a cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat infections caused by bacteria. It is effective against various types of infections, including those affecting the sinus, throat, ear, skin, bladder and lings. Additionally, cefpodoxime is used to treat gonorrhea.
It should not be used if you have ever had a severe allergic reaction to any type of cephalosporin antibiotic. Common side effects may include diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, headache, vaginal itching or discharge, and diaper rash in infants using cefpodoxime. If you experience any severe symptoms or side effects, seek medical attention promptly.
